Larger Than Life – Oakland, CA Hot Spots
Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe
Where to get dinner at midnight, and $1 PBR and Olympia cans to boot? Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe across from Emeryville City Hall (and Pixar HQ) is open till 1am every night of the week. You can’t go wrong with the comfort food they serve at this quaint diner.
They offer mouth-watering specials daily and breakfast is served all day everyday.
Some tables are cleverly constructed with trinkets such as Pez dispensers, boardgames, and more fun objects.
The prices at Rudy’s are quite reasonable, especially considering the amazing location nestled between media, bio-tech, and design companies, as well as Emeryville City Hall and the big box shopping center across 40th St. They also sport a nice kids menu. Mike Dirnt of Green Day is one of the owners of the place, which gives it some stellar status. This is truly a place you “can’t fail” with.
